In a mere 24 hours a friend of mine will be reunited with her husband, and introducing him to his 5 month old daughter after a 7 month deployment.
In 48 hours I have a friend who is saying bye to her husband as he leaves her and his baby boy that was born this afternoon as he is deployed for 7 months.
Veterans make huge sacrifices, and the wives stay strong.
Take time and think of a service member and what they have sacrificed for your freedom, and give them a 'thanks'.
Happy Veteran's Day.

miss Reese is taking her daily 3 hour nap, and since I have decided to procrastinate on my school project, I figured I would post on here since so many have gotten a blogger!
well as I said, yes Reese is taking a 3 hour nap, this has been going on since she was 2 months old.. how long it will last? I have no idea but I intend to keep it as long as possible. The 3 hours gives me uninterrupted (most of the time) time to myself! Even if it just cleaning the house, although I would love to have time to sit down with a great book during these hours. I feel like I never have time for that. I always have a goal of getting to that point sometime during the week, but I always have something else I should be doing. Like as of right now?? Cleaning out Reese's closet. She is JUST now beginning to wear her 3-6 month clothes, and yes she is 5 months! She's a petite one, that, and 0-3 lasts longer than they say obviously! Sooo, I have to, sadly with possible tears in my eyes, pack it up in bins hoping they are good for the next child!
School consumes my life I feel like. Or it could be that I just procrastinate a lot. My senior year has definitely been my most difficult year. Not that the material is difficult, it's just, I have so many projects, observations, and papers for the next few months. Come Onnnnn May!
Shelby is working one whacked out schedule right now, so our weekend.. starts Monday. He works today and tomorrow, which is a bummer, but then is off mon-tue. then works wed-thur, then is off fri-sun. It's all crazy, but we get to see him a lot so it works. Plus, Shelby is so anti-USMC lately he just has his CPL's check in and he comes home to visit a lot. I know he hates going a day without seeing Reese... and ME of coursE! :) With Shelby's work schedule, he works Thanksgiving. And definitely a no-go for visiting home for Christmas. It's going to be extremely difficult, but we will manage. It's just not christmas if you arent at home! We are trying to be positive. Our last one to deal with...
Last night was our USMC ball. It was good, we definitely enjoyed ourselves. Not as good as our last one tho! When he was with CLB--old unit he was detached with-- we hung out with so many of them all the time, so the ball was so great. Here with his other unit, there were over 1500 people there, and Shelby isnt even working for them right now! We saw some people here and there we knew for various reasons, but not nearly as many or as we were close to compared to CLB. It felt bittersweet though. Our last one. When the Marine Corps hymn was played I definitely teared up. No one knows how it feels to see your husband, and so many others at attention while the hymn is being played, unless you are a Marine Wife. I cannot tell you how incredibly proud I am to be Shelby's wife and all the sacrifices he has made for our family. I am ready for him to get out, but it will be sad at the same time.
We are excited to get out though and see what the future holds.
I hope everyone is doing great! I will try and go comment on everyone till lil miss awakens! :)

oh my!

gosh.
Havent written in a loooong minute!
Well obviously everyone knows I have had Reese, and she is a bundle of complete cute-ness!
Ive been so busy though and overwhelmed.
*packing
*moving
*friends moving away
*unpacking
*Reese
*School
*Shelby being away
Its all just way too much but hey it's all worth it in the end. Shelby has been working away for far too long. Aug 20 cannot come soon enough. Unfortunately he had to work tomorrow, which means he didnt get to come home tonight which was a bummer, but he should be home tomorrow afternoon thankfully.
Once he is home for good, it will be amazing. Even more amazing, 2 weeks later we will be heading home for a great vacation. Then a bundle of holidays, followed along by another visit home. Before we know it next summer we will finally be HOME FOR GOOD!
I hope everyone is doing great and I really do plan on being

next week? no way!
okay. Well if all goes according to plan, miss Reese should be here by next week.
next Friday to be exact, but I am positive it won't be that day. I am not going to say when I think it will happen.. I don't wanna jinx if. And let's face it, she will probably come when I very least expect it. Why wouldn't she!? What fun would that be!?
I'm lucky I feel as good as I do. There are some I know weeks behind me who are swollen all over and have had complications. I am a firm believer in working out. I just finally stopped, and I miss it, but know it was time to stop. I am 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. As much as I want her to come early, I don't wanna do anything too drastic.
On a different note. I finished school on Friday! Atleast until my summer class in June. I was SO excited to be done and have a break! Now.. I almost don't know what to do! Reese's room is pretty much done. I had been busy writing thank you notes to everyone for all the amazing gifts we had recieved in the past few weeks. But now.. I almost am going crazy. I am taking advantage of time to hang out with people, but after that, there is just so much you can do! I had been getting into the "nesting" mode where you want to clean everywhere in sight. But Shelby kinda jumped on that this weekend. I helped, but he doesn't let me help much! He is such a great husband and future dad, but sometimes I want to help a bit! But I am going to take advantage of this down time.. I know I won't be this relaxed soon enough!
I think I am going to re-read Twilight though... I need to, Eclipse is coming up super soon and in a couple weeks I won't have time for it!

my gosh!
more and more are starting to get blogger, which means maybe I should update mine a little more frequently.
Things are good though! I have almost 2 weeks til Reese gets here.

Two weeks and it wont be Shelby and I anymore
We will be parents.
It is just shocking to me.
I am excited, dont get me wrong but it just feels...
surreal.
I know though after she is here, we won't know what we did without here
It doesn't help shelby won't be able to actually live with us until August with him having these orders, but it could be worse, and that's just how i am trying to take it!
This is my last week of school before miss Reese gets here, cannot believe it! looking forward to it! :)
on another note, with Shelby being gone during the week, my tivo-ed shows are some of my highlights. So tonight,.....dun dun DUN.
Dancing with the Stars.
With Kate being gone it makes me wonder how entertaining it may be. Her comments, always shouting out to her children, (as if no one else on the show had any) and her "great" dancing, I will be slightly disappointed.
However, apparently she is busy making another show... or moving to North Carolina bec of the Pennsylvania child labor laws. Its crazy. however, I just think it is sad that she doesn't know how else to take care of her children now.
Don't get me wrong, I dont agree w a lot of the things Kate Gosselin does, but I am still a fan for some crazy reason. When people made comments about her going on Dancing w the Stars I thought she should be able to as everyone else-- almost everyone on that show has children they have left. But, Kate went a little over board mouthing "i love you" all the time, and such. but that's just my opinion! :)
sorry, reality tv is addicting!
